Desert Reading ~ What is this month going to bring?

This is a monthly tarot spread, and this is the first reading I've done in a month, since I was first hit with Covid fever.  This was so much fun to do!! I missed it.  I hope that you enjoy this video and that you find something in it to take away with you.

The Tarot Parlour

Desert Reading ~ on a dark and stormy morning

This is a quick four-card reading which reveals several issues with communication, or miscommunication, for some of you. It also opened many questions: Why aren't you talking? Why are you hesitant to open up communication? Why are you defensive? Why are they defensive? Is it time to take down some boundaries... is it safe to do this?

You can purchase your own personal reading at

Love Reading (video)

• LOVE Reading ~ Is your instinct trying to warn you about this connection? Is your new love interest really free to begin a new relationship, or is he still entangled in a past relationship?

Video ~ Sneak Preview

I tape my newsletter videos early and get them uploaded at Youtube because they need to be in order for me to post them in my Witch's Corner Newsletter, which I'm working on early, as most editors do, usually I'm working about a month ahead.  September's issue is actually pretty much ready to go, and I'll be releasing it around August 26th.  But... the subscribers to my Youtube channel know exactly when I've uploaded a new video, so this newsletter video gets some early views, and that's what I'm giving my readers here at Every Cat.

The contents of this newsletter video includes the following:

Q&A ~

1. Can you break a binding spell?

2. My roommate has a negative reaction to saging, can you explain this?

3. Are there any bad effects to casting spells many times for one intention?

4. How can I tell if I'm a witch?

5. Am I too old to begin a journey into The Craft?

6. Do you have any advice for witches in the closet?

7. Are Sabbat dates different in different parts of the world?

8. Are spells done with the help of spirits; will it backfire; can spells be done without the help of spirits?

9. Are tarot card readings done with the help of spirits?

10. Are there any "anti-magick" materials out there, things that would reverse a spell?

11. Can an old evil eye (object) bring you bad luck?

12. Can a schizophrenic be a witch?

Tattoo Tarot ~ The Rose Spread (video)

This is a general reading.  I thought about focusing on an astrological sign, or doing it anonymously for an individual, but then I thought... leave the energy open so that whoever needs to receive the message will be drawn to it.

I love this deck!  You can purchase your own deck of "Tattoo Tarot" at http://www.magicalomaha.com

Tarot Deck Review/Unboxing ~ Tattoo Tarot

I was so impressed with the colors in this deck and the bold art style, very reminiscent of Ed Hardy.  Tattoo enthusiasts will love this!  The deck was very easy for me to connect with on a variety of levels.  It could easily be used for personal tarot meditation and the tarot journalist, or the professional reader with clients.

You can purchase your deck at my favorite metaphysical shop, Next Millennium, online at http://www.magicalomaha.com

Pisces ~ Here's Your In-Depth Tarot Reading!

Hello, Pisces!  Welcome to my back porch!  It's been a while since I've done one of these readings, and it looks like an exciting time coming up for Pisces.  I'm using the Pagans Way Tarot by Anna Franklin and the Celtic Cross Spread.

I think every tarot reader at Youtube who does these general readings all say this same thing, but I have to go there... These are very general readings.  If you want a reading specifically geared to you and your unique situation, go to my tarot website, The Tarot Parlour, at http://tarotreadingswithamythystraine.blogspot.com

I offer readings through a variety of mediums ~ audio, phone, video, as well as local in-person readings.

The music for this video is from Youtube's library, by the amazing Kevin McLeod... I can't find the link at the moment for this particular piece, and this is made a bit confusing by the fact that every individual piece seems to have it's own link. Check it out at the Youtube music library for creator's.

Zodiac Tarot Readings ~ Changes Coming

I won't go into all the details here...because video taping my explanation is a lot less work than typing it all out! But there will be changes in HOW I tape the zodiac tarot readings, WHEN I tape the zodiac tarot readings, etc. The "IN-DEPTH" readings that you've been seeing since Dec 2016 for the zodiac signs are chosen randomly; there is no particular order in which I'll choose a sign to read, but I will work my way in a somewhat organized fashion through all 12 signs so that everyone gets a reading...Then I'll start the process all over again!

Another topic touched on ~ Is a video reading only relevant in the month in which it was taped?...I love this one, and I think you'll like my response. See if you agree with me.

This video was taped in my Wytchy Room/Tarot Parlour...Enjoy!

Welcome to My House! (video)

Welcome to my house! Come on in and sit for a spell, as the saying goes.  While I'm looking for something (apothecary bottles to make magickal oils), I'll take you around my house.  You also get to meet some of the creatures that live with me.  This is very spur of the moment, unplanned, and mostly uncut video.

Making a Non-Wax Candle (video!)

The candle I made for this video is a spell candle for love, but for any of my muggles who visit this blog, this is just the basic way to make a regular ole' non-wax candle.  It was so much fun, and even the couple glitches I ran into during the process (which you'll see) didn't dampen my ardor, or the final results!

Enjoy!

Making a LOVE Non-Wax Spell Candle ~
Items Needed:
1.  a glass jar, size of your choice
2.  wick
3.  crazy glue
4.  Crisco Shortening, or any other name-brand solid vegetable shortening
5.  a crayon, red
6.  herbs ~ rose petal, hibiscus, nutmeg
7.  essential oil ~ rose
8.  a paper bowl

This project was So Much Fun, and I screwed up during the process!  When I poured the hot mixture into my glass container, the wick became dislodged from the small metal tab that held it to the bottom of the jar.  Oh dear, what shall we do?  Instead of cutting the camera and fixing the problem before moving on, I thought this was a perfect opportunity to show you what I did to fix this problem.  It's all a "learn as we go" process...everything is!

I am hoping to add these candles, in assorted sizes and containers, to the merchandise at The Witch's Corner.  I LOVE making them, so I'm also pretty sure that my daughters will wind up with a multitude of colored candles for various occasions and intentions!

I hope you enjoyed this video...thank you for liking, sharing, and subscribing.  (It matters, you know!)  And Happy Candle Making!!!

Love & Blessings,
Amythyst

Thundershower, How I Love Thee

This is my first attempt at creating an ambient music video (the music is courtesy of the royalty free public-domain music lists offered for download by Youtube).  Ironically, the song that I chose was titled "Hydra", how perfect is that!  This was fun, and it sparked my interest to try again, and maybe to save towards a better bigger camera!  Location-- our back porch, and our front yard.
