Know before you read this that clairaudience experienced outside of my head is a very rare thing for me.

First, the definition of clairaudience:

This is a person who will pick up a thought and hear it, either as a voice inside their head, or as an actual external voice. This person's mental or intellectual understanding is very important and they can make good leaders. We all know someone that we would say was a mental person, always having to understand mentally. They carefully think things through. If this person were to become enlightened they would have the ability to become a medium, someone who channels information from entities who have passed over, because their most heightened sensitivity is to hear.

The alarm had went off at about 5:30am. My husband has it set on the radio instead of the usual alarm buzzer, so we’re woken up by voices or music five mornings a week at the crack of dawn.

I opened my eyes and simultaneously saw my husband’s arm reaching to turn off the alarm as I heard my own voice speaking over the radio. I sat up and said to him, “Did you hear that? That was me!”

He looked a little puzzled, and I wondered why. He mumbled, “What?” I said, “That was my voice on the radio, didn’t you hear it?”

He had not. I couldn’t believe he didn’t hear it. It had been so clear, and it was shocking because I hadn’t expected to hear my own voice.

The next day, I received an email from the program manager of an internet radio network. He wanted to know if I wanted my own radio show.

From The Witch's Desk ~ Dream Journal Entry: The Fetus

 

I keep a dream journal. I have for years; and I never cease to be amazed at the dreamscape world in our sub-conscious mind. Sometimes my dreams are a conglomeration of images and moments from my day, sometimes they are deceased relatives showing up to tell me something or to reassure me that they’re okay, and once in a while my dreams appear as a bizarre scenario, played out in this surrealistic plane:

The Fetus:

There was a dead fetus beneath our large lilac bush. It was very well formed, probably close to full term, umbilical cord attached, curled into a fetal position and laying on its side, its skin very gray in color.

We were standing around the lilac bush, beneath the trees, me and a group of police officers and detectives. The officers were meandering around, doing their business, talking amongst themselves. The detectives were talking to me and taking notes, scribbling on small notepads cupped in the palms of their hands.

One detective asked me, “Do you know of anyone living in your area who’s pregnant?”

I cringed inwardly and thought to myself– gawds, I really hate to implicate the neighbors. I said to the detective, “Yes, there is a girl in our neighborhood who’s pregnant, but this family seems to have things under control. Even though we don’t know them all that well, I’d be very surprised if they were involved in something like this.”

Then I stood silent while the detectives talked amongst themselves.

I got to thinking, while I was standing there, that there was no blood around the baby, the scene was in fact amazingly bloodless. Having a baby is messy, and the lack of blood would indicate that the baby had been born somewhere else and then deposited here.

I kept thinking there must be blood here somewhere. So, while I remained standing still in my spot, I began to look around the area in ever widening circles, slowly and deliberately, searching for some sign of blood on the ground, or in the grass.

Eventually I found it, a single drop of blood in the grass between the maple tree and the barn, near the garden. My first thought was: It’s a trail that leads straight to the neighbor's house. And I had this terrible sinking feeling. Then I thought– no, I can’t think that, because this also leads to the gate, a way out of the yard.

As the police were finishing up and preparing to move the body, I said to the detectives: “I have a request.” The detective paused, looking curiously at me. “I’d like to hold the baby once before you take it away.”

I knew before I made the request that they would think it was strange and it would make them suspicious. First, they began to question me about my own daughters. I told them what they wanted to know, reassured them that none were pregnant, and if one had been as far along as this baby was, we would certainly have known it.

Then one of the detectives said to me, “Why do you want to hold the baby?”

I told him, “We have all been standing around here repulsed and shuddering at this baby, and this is not suppose to be the reaction at a baby’s birth.”

I felt sorry for it, that it was so unwanted. I hoped that the spirit of the child would feel the comfort of being held.

July, 2009, John C. Fremont Days in our community, which means tents of vendors, open air food courts, shaved ice treats, and entertainment.

I had taken my girls to the park, and we were making the rounds, just heading over to the food court, when I suddenly stopped in my tracks. I caught a whiff of a scent, for the briefest second, a familiar scent, a very dear friend.

I raised my hands slightly to stop the girls, and I said, "I smell Lori." My 16-year-old daughter said, "That is weird, and if we run into her it will really be weird."

We made our way through the food court and couldn’t decide what we wanted. We were really waiting for the shaved ice cubicle to open, to tell you the truth. So we went around the outskirts of the park, cutting through, past the tent set up for entertainment, when we heard someone shouting ‘Hey!’

I turned around, and there was my friend, Lori, with her partner. My 16-year-old daughter murmured, "That is so weird!"

I think it is so wonderful.

What must it say about the kind of connection we have to people who touch our lives in a genuine way.

You may have left a situation or relationship on a rash whim, and in doing so you've sent your life and probably other lives into a conundrum of imbalance and uncertainty.  Is it too late to apologize and go back to square one?  Only you know the answer to this question.

Your naturally stubborn nature has you holding out in the midst of a disagreement.  All this is going to do is spread chaos and hurt feelings.  It's also going to put you on the defensive and lead to a weaker position in the grand scheme of things.

Justice; Ace/pentacles; The Hanged Man

An unexpected open-handed offer is going to put you in an awkward position.  For one thing, is it above board and legal?  And why do you feel that your hands are tied and you have to accept this offer?  Think again, Gemini -- think, you're an old dog with new tricks.

Oh, what a tangled web we weave.  There's deception that is going to tarnish an otherwise pristine and especially glowing opportunity.  The universe is telling you to take control of the situation now, before things get out of hand.

Hang onto your material possessions and your good common sense.  There's a relationship that has taken an unexpected turn and may leave you in a state of anxiety right now.  The universe says hang onto your hat, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

Identify your weakness, which will allow you to make an important decision, that will put balance and stability back in your life.  The phrase "chasing your demons" popped into my head, but instead of chasing them down to feed them, you have chased them down to obliterate them.

8/cups; King/wands, reversed; 8/swords, reversed

Beware someone coming back into your life, someone who used to wield a lot of power and control back in the day.  You had to escape this influence once, you don't want to have to do this again.  You're smarter than that.

Scorpio ~

9/swords, reversed; 3/cups; 10/wands

The fallout from an outwardly appearing happy go lucky let's-all-be-friends period, is a boat load of anxiety (maybe laced with a little depression), and the heavy unexpected feeling of burdens.  Someone had to pay the piper for days of gleeful irresponsible behavior.

The work place is highlighted, and beware a destructive impulsive personality there, someone who has the capability of upsetting life's equilibrium and stability.  Plan on expanding your gifts and aspirations, and don't be afraid to roll your sleeves up for some heavy duty work (figuratively and literally).

Capricorn ~

Queen/pentacles, reversed; Queen/cups, reversed; The Tower

There are two personalities who are headed for a show-down, which will lead to the ultimate tower moment and a great transformation in life.  If you are one of these queens, make sure that you are prepared for the changes to come before you act.  Once decisions are put into action, there will be no turning back.

PODCAST, Requested ~ The Feud... and the No Show

 

The requested scenario here involved a feud or competition between two characters that were represented in a short n' sweet scenario as the Knight of wands and the Knight of cups. I wanted to lay these two cards out as significators for this reading, but I never did find the Knight of Wands. He's here with this deck, somewhere, I know that, because I saw him earlier this morning. Is the character in this reading also a "no show"?

PODCAST, Requested ~ Sometimes Friendships Have an Expiration Date

 

This was a requested reading for the Wheel of Fortune and scenario #2. I so wish I could've given you more answers, more comfort, or a sense of closure for the loss of a friendship, but instead, this reading seemed to ask more questions. In the end, the sad fact is that some friendships come with expiration dates, just like romantic relationships, not all friendships are meant to last forever. I hope you're able to heal and move on from this experience eventually, there's other people out there for you to meet and cultivate new friendships with, and maybe that's why Spirit led you here.

Questions I asked 12 years ago ~ and my answers today

An awful lot of women spend an awful lot of time fixating on men -- how they can catch one, why they lost one, will straying ones come back, how can they keep the one they’ve got, etc., ad infinitum. 

HELLOoooo! You will never reach your full potential if you expend every ounce of energy you have and hours of mental activity obsessing on this subject. Halt!– Stop!– put the brakes on.

I ask you:

• If there were no men in the world, what would you be interested in?

Do you draw, paint, sketch, write, sculpt, or cook like a world class chef? Are you interested in horitculture– gardening, animals, sewing, designing– clothes, buildings (architecture), websites, interior design, or something else that I haven’t even thought of?

• If you could do anything in the world you wanted to do, what would it be?

• If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

• If you could live anywhere in the world, would you stay where you are, or would you move to another location?

• If you could accomplish one major feat in your life…what would it be?

Twelve years later, these are the answers to my own questions:

• If there were no men in the world what would you be interested in?

I would be interested in writing, traveling, gardening, movies, books, cats, tarot, website design, publishing, editing, magickal explorations, psychology, forensic psychology, parapsychology, criminal cold cases, Ouija boards, jewelry... and I'm sure many more things that are just not popping up in my overwhelmed brain at this precise moment.

• If you could do anything in the world you wanted to do what would it be?

If money were no object, it would be travel.  I would own an RV or camper and I would travel to Nebraska in the summer time to immerse myself in my grown children's lives.  I would pay for trips for all of us to all of the places each one has on their bucket list.  I would eat out, always, every day, relishing the delicacies that I did not have to cook. 

• If you could travel, anywhere in the world, where would you go?

CHECK... I would go to see the ocean.  

I did this in January 2019 when I made a trip to Los Angeles to experience the spot on this earth where I was born and took my first breath, and to see the Pacific Ocean and stand bare foot in its cold, cold water.

• If you could live anywhere in the world, would you stay where you are, or would you move to another location?

CHECK... I would move to a warmer climate, where there is no winter, and I would escape the strangle hold of the very conventional American mid-west.

In April of 2019, I moved to Arizona, setting up house just 40 miles east of Phoenix.

• If you could accomplish one major feat in your life…what would it be?

CHECK... I would become a best selling author whose books are sold all over the world.

I currently published my 10th book in 2023, and my books are sold around the world.  Just a couple years ago, much to my surprise, I received an email from my editor letting me know that one of my books had become a Best Seller.  I was more surprised than anyone when  a slender little volume that I had published in 2012 reached this significant accomplishment.  It was, and still is, a bit surreal.
